Police in South Yorkshire have reported that two children and a woman sustained injuries while riding a fairground attraction. The incident took place at Maltby Crags Fair in Rotherham on Friday evening, which led to the fair closing ahead of schedule.
Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene, where they transported three individuals, aged 11, 13, and 21, to hospital for medical attention. The precise severity of their injuries has not yet been disclosed by the authorities.
As part of the response, Blyth Lane was temporarily shut between Muglet Lane and Victoria Road to facilitate the safe departure of visitors from the fairground. This road closure has since been lifted, allowing normal traffic flow to resume.
