Woman dies after car hits pedestrians at Corby bus stop

A tragic incident occurred in Corby when a car collided with a bus stop, resulting in the death of a woman and injuring another pedestrian. Authorities reported that the car seemed to be attempting a left turn into Fotheringhay Road at approximately 07:30 BST but veered off its intended course.

The fatality was a woman in her 30s who passed away at the scene. Alongside her, a teenage boy was also struck but suffered only minor injuries. Following the crash, police took a 55-year-old man from Corby into custody. He has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving as well as driving under the influence of drugs.
