Richard Lines, a visitor at the park, recounted being on a different attraction near Wipeout when a power failure occurred, impacting several rides at once. According to Lines, he noticed a staff member attending to the immobilized ride, a scene captured in footage shared with the BBC.

Following this, the ride’s carriages briefly resumed motion but soon began to oscillate slowly before coming to a halt again. Lines described how emergency services responded by deploying an aerial ladder to assist passengers in exiting the ride one at a time.

“I feel sorry for those at the front or back who were stuck up there for around three hours – which is a long time,” said Lines, who was visiting the park with his two children and hails from Wymondham in Norfolk.

The fire service confirmed that by 17:10, all 27 passengers had been safely rescued and that no injuries were reported from the incident
