Dungannon: Boy, 16, charged with murder and attempted murder

A 16-year-old male has been formally charged in connection with the murder of a 61-year-old man in Dungannon, County Tyrone. In addition to the murder charge, he faces accusations of attempted murder involving two other individuals linked to the same event.

Authorities discovered the deceased man’s body at a residence on Lisnahull Road on Saturday morning. At the scene, the man’s eight-year-old daughter was also found injured. Meanwhile, the victim’s wife, aged 48, suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening during the attack.

The teenager is additionally charged with making threats to kill. Legal proceedings are scheduled to commence with his appearance at Omagh Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
