Seven individuals—Kieran Robson, 35; Uzma Bashir, 56; Ricky Southall, 34; Autumn Taylor Ward, 22; Rebecca Sian Davies, 29; John Moxley, 58; and Dylan Chiaramello, 24—have been formally charged with criminal damage in connection to a recent protest.
Authorities claim that the group caused significant harm to a course by digging up turf, applying weedkiller, and creating flooding through damage to the sprinkler system. Additionally, a light fixture was reported to have been damaged during the incident.
According to prosecutors, the protest also included graffiti of several slogans such as “Free Gaza,” “Free Palestine,” and “Gaza is not for sale” on both the course and nearby buildings. Offensive messages aimed at former U.S. President Donald Trump were also reportedly painted during the event.
Although the seven individuals were initially scheduled to make their appearance at the High Court in Glasgow next Monday, officials from the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service announced on Friday that the hearing has been postponed.
