Shoreham beach death tributes paid to family by Ealing school

A heartfelt tribute has been paid by the school attended by a 14-year-old girl who tragically lost her life along with her parents after encountering trouble in the water near Shoreham-by-Sea. Sara El-Khawas, together with her father Hassan El-Khawas, 55, and mother Zeina Alayn, 37, reportedly entered the sea close to Shoreham Fort in West Sussex on Tuesday, as confirmed by Sussex Police.

The Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls, located in Ealing, west London, shared their condolences on their website, highlighting that Sara was a “sweet girl, well-liked by staff and students.” The statement reflects the deep sorrow felt by the school community following the loss of one of their pupils.

In addition to the three who died, a younger girl from the family remains hospitalized, currently in a critical condition. Authorities and hospital staff continue to monitor her situation closely as she fights for recovery.
