During a conversation with comedian Matt Forde at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Offord described the experience of a cancer diagnosis as frightening. He used this moment to encourage men to prioritize health checks, emphasizing the importance of early detection.
Offord, previously a Conservative peer, successfully guided Reform UK to a significant milestone in the Scottish Parliament election, securing 17 seats. This achievement marked a notable breakthrough for the party in Scotland’s political landscape.
Reflecting further on his diagnosis, Offord acknowledged the fear associated with cancer but noted that having friends who faced similar challenges helped lessen his anxiety.
