Liverpool City Council has launched an exciting new platform called Liverpool Voices, designed to amplify the perspectives of city residents and integrate their input into local decision-making processes. This initiative seeks to unite people from all parts of Liverpool to contribute their insights, experiences, and ideas on key community issues, ultimately shaping policies, services, and future plans for the city.
Eligible participants are those aged 16 and above who reside in Liverpool. Members of the panel will have ongoing chances to engage via surveys, discussion forums, community workshops, and other participatory events. The Council emphasizes inclusivity, aiming to reflect the rich diversity of Liverpool’s population by encouraging involvement from individuals of various backgrounds, ages, and communities.
Councillor Liam Robinson, Leader of Liverpool City Council, highlighted the significance of resident involvement, stating, “In Liverpool, we know that our greatest strength has always been our people, and no one knows our city better than the residents who live here. Liverpool Voices is an opportunity for people from across our city to share their views, experiences and ideas, helping to inform the decisions that affect our communities and our future. By joining Liverpool Voices, you’ll help us improve services and ensure that residents’ voices are meaningfully listened to. Together, we can make Liverpool even stronger.”
Those interested in having a say and making a positive impact on their community are encouraged to join the panel. Throughout the year, participants will be invited to express their opinions on important topics through various forms of engagement. To learn more or register, residents can visit the Liverpool Voices website or contact the Council via email for additional information
