Last month, a break-in at a National Trust property resulted in the theft of over 20 valuable antiques. The incident took place on July 30 at Baddesley Clinton, a manor house dating back to the 16th century located in Warwickshire.
Among the 25 stolen items were objects made from silver, pewter, and brass. The most prominent of these was a Georgian silver salver, which featured the engraved coat of arms of the Ferrers family, who lived in the house for approximately 500 years, according to the National Trust.
A spokesperson for the National Trust expressed hope for the return of the stolen pieces. “We very much hope the objects will be returned, so they can be enjoyed by everyone,” they stated.
The theft has drawn attention to the importance of preserving cultural heritage and recovering the stolen artifacts, allowing public appreciation of the historic collection at Baddesley Clinton
