A spokesperson noted that additional trains may experience delays, cancellations, or be rerouted through Seven Sisters. The London Fire Brigade (LFB) reported deploying 14 fire engines to combat a grass fire near Lea Road in Waltham Abbey, which is situated nearby. They confirmed that the fire is now under control.
According to the LFB’s website, at the peak of the incident, approximately 14 hectares of grassland were ablaze. Firefighters employed water backpacks and wildfire beaters to extinguish the flames effectively.
