In addition to these visitors, some cast and crew members from the show *Hope Street* have also taken the plunge into the chilly waters of the Irish Sea, experiencing the sea swim for themselves—whether they enjoyed it or not remains to be seen. Kathryn herself has appeared as an extra in several episodes of *Hope Street*, becoming a familiar face among locals who tune in.
Reflecting on her involvement, Kathryn humorously shared, “I think my most famous [part] was, and as my husband says I’ve got the face for a funeral, I was in it at a funeral.” Her participation adds a personal connection between the community and the show filmed in their town.
Bridie McElhill, another member of the Chunky Dunkers, echoed similar sentiments regarding the positive impact of the filming.
