Swansea teenager charged with murder after man, 18, dies in crash

An 18-year-old has been formally charged with murder following a tragic collision involving a car and an off-road motorcycle. The incident occurred around 1:00 pm BST on Thursday at Pen Car Crwn Road in Gorseinon, Swansea. Upon arrival, emergency services found a man who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Tyler Ford, an 18-year-old from Morriston, faces charges for the murder of Ceiran Evans, also aged 18 and a resident of Gorseinon. In addition to this, Ford has been charged with attempted murder concerning another 19-year-old victim who is currently hospitalized. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.

South Wales Police have yet to confirm the formal identification of the deceased but confirmed that specially trained officers are providing support to Ceiran Evans’ family during this difficult time. Meanwhile, four additional men connected to the investigation have been released on police bail. These individuals include an 18-year-old from Gorseinon arrested on suspicion of murder and grievous bodily harm, a 33-year-old from Gorseinon also held on suspicion of murder, as well as two 38-year-old men from Gowerton and Mount Pleasant, both arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Detective Chief Inspector Danielle Thorne of South Wales Police stated that the inquiry is “continuing at pace” and urged anyone with information to come forward. She also addressed the circulation of social media footage related to the crash, requesting the public refrain from sharing such material due to the sensitive nature of the case
