The family of a British teenager who tragically passed away in Greece has expressed their grief over the loss of a “deeply loved son.” According to reports from Greek media, the 17-year-old fell from a hotel balcony in Chalandri, a suburb of Athens, at around 5 a.m. local time (3 a.m. BST) on July 3. Following the fall, he was rushed to the Red Cross Hospital in Athens in critical condition.
In a statement released on Friday via the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, the boy’s parents shared the profound shock and heartbreak they feel following their child’s sudden death. They described him as an exceptional guitarist and a friend to many, someone who brought laughter and joy to those around him. “He will be missed beyond words,” they said.
The family emphasized the unique place their son held in the world, one that cannot be replaced. “His warmth, his spirit, and the happiness he brought to others will never be forgotten,” they added. They also expressed gratitude to everyone who has offered support during what they described as an incredibly difficult time.
