Catherine shares photos reuniting with family after Three Peaks Challenge

Catherine, Princess of Wales, has shared new photographs of a heartfelt reunion with her family following her completion of the Three Peaks Challenge, which was organised to support the hospital where she received cancer treatment. The images show her alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and her husband, the Prince of Wales, shortly after they climbed Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in North Wales last week. This challenge involves scaling the highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales within a 24-hour period.

The princess has spoken openly about the challenge, describing it as an opportunity to “explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back.” She also revealed publicly that she underwent cancer treatment in 2024 and was in remission by early 2025. Along with the pictures of the immediate family, the social media posts included shots featuring her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, her brother James, and a family golden retriever. A message of gratitude was directed toward everyone who supported The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Catherine’s brother James expressed his pride and admiration for her on Instagram, calling it an “honour” to have taken part in the climb alongside his sister. He recalled their conversations from two years prior, saying, “Two years ago, I told you we’d climb this mountain together.” He highlighted their discussions on the healing effect nature has on both mind and body, especially during challenging times. James added praise for her strength, resilience, and dedication not only as a participant in the challenge but also in her roles as a mother, wife, daughter, and sister.

Following the successful completion of the Three Peaks—Scafell Pike in England, Ben Nevis in Scotland, and finishing on Snowdon in Wales—Catherine spoke about her desire to raise awareness of the “deeper impact of serious illness and the importance of holistic healthcare.” She emphasized that “every individual is different,” and a comprehensive approach to care must support the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of those facing cancer. The Royal Marsden Hospital defines such holistic care as addressing these diverse aspects alongside clinical treatment. Since her diagnosis, which she described as a “huge shock,” Catherine has been confident in her full recovery and has returned to her royal engagements, supported by the fundraising efforts focused on enhancing holistic care for cancer patients
