Melissa Rein Lively, a public relations executive known for her support of Donald Trump, has admitted to physically assaulting a woman at a London Underground station by pulling her hair. The incident took place on the evening of 11 October at Bond Street station, where the victim reported the assault. At Westminster Magistrates’ Court, Rein Lively, who is 40 years old, accepted a conditional caution, leading to the withdrawal of an assault by beating charge against her. She was not present during the hearing.
Rein Lively’s partner, Philipp Ostermann, a 37-year-old German national, was with her at the station and faced separate accusations. He denied charges including two racially aggravated public order offenses and another public order offense. Ostermann was released on conditional bail and is scheduled for trial at City of London Magistrates’ Court on 17 November. Prosecutor Lyndon Harris stated in court that Rein Lively’s acknowledgment of her actions constituted an offense, adding that she agreed to compensate the victim £910, which was paid on the same day as the hearing.
Details presented during the court proceedings revealed that the woman who was assaulted had been at the station accompanied by her sister and two children, one of whom was in a pushchair. The couple, Rein Lively and Ostermann, were reportedly intoxicated and were observed engaging in public displays of affection before the altercation. The prosecution described how Rein Lively accidentally stumbled into the pushchair, prompting the woman to push back in return. Following this, Ostermann allegedly made a racially charged remark saying, “You bloody Indians, watch where you’re going, you shouldn’t be here.”
In response, one of the women clarified that Rein Lively had fallen over her sister’s pushchair and insisted that they were not Indian, urging Ostermann to stop making racist comments. Shortly after, Rein Lively was said to have grabbed one of the sisters’ hair and tugged it forcefully. Rein Lively is the founder of America First Public Relations, a firm that positions itself as “anti-woke,” while Ostermann works as an associate director at Aequita, a private equity company based in Munich
