A 19-year-old man tragically lost his life following a rescue attempt at Balderton Lake in Nottinghamshire, according to police reports. The emergency services received the call at 14:35 BST on Thursday regarding the incident at the lake, which is located off Heron Way in New Balderton. Paramedics provided treatment at the scene before the young man was transported to hospital.
Nottinghamshire Police confirmed on Saturday that the man had died and that officers were offering support to his family. Authorities indicated that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, and a coroner’s file was being prepared. Clive Collings, the Chief Inspector for Newark, expressed his condolences about the incident: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are solely with this young man’s family.
