Body of 16-year-old boy recovered from water near Callander

A tragic incident occurred at Bracklinn Falls, a well-known scenic location northeast of Callander, where a 16-year-old boy lost his life. Authorities managed to recover the body of Charlie Noble from the water after concerns were raised about his safety. Emergency services responded to the call around 18:45 on Thursday evening.

Charlie Noble, a student at Denny High School, was found deceased at the site, which features a series of waterfalls along the Keltie Water within Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Police Scotland have confirmed that they are not treating the death as suspicious following the recovery.

In response to the loss, Paul Dunn, the head teacher at Denny High, expressed deep sorrow, stating, “We are heartbroken at the loss of one of our much-loved pupils following a tragic accident at Bracklinn Falls.” He highlighted how Charlie was cherished by fellow students, staff, and the wider community alike.
