Three arrested over shooting outside Sheffield's One Four One bar

Police in Sheffield have detained three individuals in connection with a shooting that took place outside a city centre bar. The incident occurred near the One Four One bar on West Street in Sheffield at approximately 02:45 BST on Monday, according to South Yorkshire Police.

So far, authorities have not disclosed whether there were any casualties resulting from the shooting. Two men and one woman involved in the case remain in custody as they undergo questioning. The police have closed off West Street between Mappin Street and Westfield Terrace to carry out their investigations at the scene.

Additional road closures in the area include Eldon Street, Westhill Lane, and a portion of Orange Street, with officials advising motorists to steer clear of these locations. The police acknowledged that the situation may be unsettling for residents and promised to share further updates when possible, thanking the public for their understanding during the ongoing inquiry.

Public transportation in the city has also been affected by the closures. Tram services are currently suspended between Cathedral and Middlewood or Malin Bridge stations.
