A university student has recounted his experience of facing racial abuse from two fellow students, revealing that it took a full year before the university addressed his complaint. Initially, the institution offered him £150 as compensation for the prolonged investigation, an amount which was later increased to £500 after a review.
The incident took place at a Halloween party in October 2024, where Jordan, the student involved, was subjected to racist remarks. Despite reporting the matter to Cardiff University, he discovered that the students accused of the abuse remained enrolled.
