A tragic incident occurred on Johnston Street in Paisley, Renfrewshire, where a six-year-old girl lost her life after being struck by a vehicle. The collision involved two young children, with the accident taking place at approximately 17:30 on Saturday evening.
According to Police Scotland, both the six-year-old and a seven-year-old girl were hit by the car. Emergency responders arrived promptly on the scene; however, the younger child was sadly pronounced dead at the location. The seven-year-old sustained injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening and was transported to the hospital for treatment before being released.
