A tragic incident unfolded at Primrose Hill in north London on Tuesday evening when Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old filmmaking student, was fatally stabbed. The attack took place just after 18:30 BST near the park’s viewing point, and Sullivan died at the scene. His death has left his family devastated, with his father expressing deep sorrow over the loss.
Christopher Sullivan described his son as a unique and irreplaceable young man, saying, “This is the worst tragedy I could ever imagine.” He spoke about Finbar’s passion for filmmaking, noting that his son aspired to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, Michael Seresin, a renowned cameraman who contributed to major films like *Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban* and *Rambo III*. Finbar had been at Primrose Hill to use a camera he had recently received for his birthday.
Finbar was a student at the London Screen Academy and worked under the name Sully Shot It, creating music videos for drill rap artists. Despite the circumstances of his death, his father insisted that Finbar was not involved in any gang activity, but was rather a “groovy 21-year-old who loved movies and making films.” Christopher also lovingly described his son as “beautiful, lovely, outgoing, loving.”
Friends have shared insights into Finbar’s recent struggles with health. Ellen Kinnally, a friend and PR professional from New York, told *The Times* that Finbar had been unwell prior to the stabbing but was improving. She remarked, “He’d gotten very ill recently and everyone was so worried about him. It affected his eyesight, but he was getting better. He was a visual person.” The incident also left another man in his twenties injured, though his wounds were not life-threatening. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward, but no arrests have been made so far
