Murder arrests over death of man outside Bournemoth cocktail bar

Three individuals have been taken into custody on suspicion of murder following a fatal incident outside a cocktail bar in a coastal town. Dorset Police responded to an assault reported near MyBar on Charminster Road, Bournemouth, at approximately 03:00 BST.

The victim, a man in his 40s from Christchurch, was declared dead at the scene. Authorities have informed his next of kin. The suspects apprehended include a 37-year-old and a 46-year-old from Bournemouth, along with a 34-year-old from Poole. Police are actively seeking witnesses and are requesting anyone with relevant dashcam footage to assist with the investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Nicky Jenkins, who leads the Dorset Police Major Crime Investigation Team, expressed condolences, stating: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly died and a detailed investigation is underway to establish what happened.”

An extensive police cordon remains in place around the area as officers continue their work. The force has indicated that officers will maintain their presence in the vicinity for several days to conduct essential investigative procedures at the scene
