Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will not attend Easter church service

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will not be present at the Royal Family’s customary Easter Sunday church service held at Windsor Castle this year. Reports indicate that the daughters of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson have chosen to make different arrangements for Easter.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are confirmed to attend the Easter Matins service, and the Prince and Princess of Wales are also expected to be there, marking their return after missing the event last year. This annual Easter gathering at St George’s Chapel is a staple on the royal calendar, with family members typically posing for photographers upon arrival.

Although Beatrice and Eugenie will skip this Easter service, it remains open for them to participate in future royal occasions and family celebrations, including the traditional Christmas gathering at Sandringham. Their decision to be absent this year is reportedly made with the consent of the King.

Last Easter, the entire family, including Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Sarah Ferguson, and their daughters, attended the Windsor service, which is regarded more as a family occasion than an official engagement. Since then, Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and relocated to Sandringham, Norfolk, no longer living with his former wife, who also moved out of their previous home at Royal Lodge in Windsor. The family has been embroiled in controversy linked to the Epstein scandal, with ongoing scrutiny over ties to the convicted US sex offender. Recently, Congressman Suhas Subramanyam requested Ferguson to testify about her connection to Jeffrey Epstein, while Mountbatten-Windsor has denied any wrongdoing related to these associations.
