Communities will have the opportunity to unite both in person and virtually to observe Mother’s Day. A special commemorative service is scheduled for Sunday, 15th March at 12 noon, taking place at Anfield Crematorium. This event is organised in collaboration with the Good Funeral Company and Anthony Davies Bereavement.
For those seeking a quieter visit without attending the service, the crematorium chapel will be accessible from 11am to 1pm, offering a peaceful space for reflection. Refreshments will also be provided during this time. The chosen charity for this year’s event is Anthony Davies Bereavement, an organisation dedicated to supporting children who have suffered significant losses, helping families cope through compassionate care and community support.
Individuals unable to be present physically can still participate by viewing a live webcast of the service. The livestream is available at https://watch.obitus.com, with the access details being username: fowu1396 and password: 712806. Meanwhile, the Garden of Remembrance will remain open daily from dawn until dusk to offer a tranquil environment.
Additionally, the Book of Remembrance can be visited in person from 9am to 4.30pm on weekends and public holidays, as well as 8.30am to 5pm on weekdays. Digital versions of the Books of Remembrance for both Anfield and Springwood are accessible online. Further details regarding the crematorium, Book of Remembrance, and the various services provided by the Bereavement Services Team can be found at www.liverpool.gov.uk/cemsandcrems
