F1 drivers sharpen their skills at Milton Keynes karting track

During the off-season, a go-karting track in Milton Keynes reported hosting approximately 75% of the Formula 1 drivers, offering them an opportunity to refine their driving abilities. Dan Prince from Daytona Motorsport confirmed that notable drivers such as Isack Hadjar, Yuki Tsunoda, and Alex Albon have all taken part in sessions at the circuit.

The location’s popularity among drivers stems from its position as a central hub for British motorsport, situated near Silverstone in Northamptonshire. Prince described the layout as demanding, featuring around 12 technical corners and an uphill straight. This combination provides a perfect environment for drivers to enhance their skills during periods without competitive racing.

In a memorable moment last year, Kimi Antonelli surprised fans at a busy event by attending incognito. Despite setting the fastest lap during the main race, Antonelli did not manage to secure victory, adding an element of excitement to the session.

Looking ahead, the 2026 Formula 1 season is set to commence with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, with the race scheduled for Sunday at 04:00 GMT. Meanwhile, the Mercedes team continues to operate out of their base in Brackley, Northamptonshire, reinforcing the region’s significance in the motorsport world
