Grammy-winning artist Lola Young has revealed plans for her first headline concert since she fainted during a performance last year. The event is slated for 4 March at the London Palladium and will offer an “intimate” experience for fans of the singer known for her hit single “Messy.” This announcement comes after Lola had to cancel several worldwide tour dates last September due to health concerns.
Since the incident, the 25-year-old performer has appeared on stage only twice—once at the Spotify Best New Artist event in California last month and again at the recent Grammy Awards ceremony. In a message shared on social media, Lola expressed her hope that fans who had their tickets canceled might be able to attend the upcoming show, but she also acknowledged that the smaller venue meant not everyone would be able to secure a place.
Originally, the singer from south London was scheduled for a UK tour in October, followed by dates across the US, Mexico, and Canada through November and December. The sudden collapse caused alarm among her supporters and fellow musicians. When confirming the tour’s cancellation earlier, Lola reassured her audience that she was “doing ok” and explained that she would be “going away for a while,” thanking everyone for their continued “love and support.”
With a capacity of 2,200, the London Palladium concert is expected to attract a high demand for tickets, which will be limited to two per person once sales open next Wednesday. Lola addressed fans directly, stating, “I don’t take for granted I am planning a small intimate show,” while also acknowledging that some people who had previously purchased tickets would be disappointed. She added, “I can’t accommodate tickets for everyone who bought them previously,” but expressed hope that when she can perform larger shows again, her fans will still be eager to attend. Alongside her recent Grammy win for Best Pop Performance with “Messy,” Lola Young remains a strong contender at the upcoming Brit Awards, sharing five nominations with fellow artist Olivia Dean, including the prestigious Artist of the Year category
