Boy, 15, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after teacher injured at Milford Haven school

A 15-year-old student has been taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident at a school in Pembrokeshire. The event took place at Milford Haven Comprehensive School, where a teacher was reportedly harmed by a pupil wielding a weapon.

Dyfed-Powys Police responded to the scene around 15:20 GMT on Thursday, according to Superintendent Chris Neve. He explained that although the teacher was injured, the wound was not caused by a stabbing. A lockdown was promptly enforced at the school but has since been lifted. “All pupils at the location are safe and most have gone home,” Supt Neve confirmed, noting that the injured teacher is currently receiving medical care.

Police officers have remained at the school following the incident, maintaining their presence on-site. The Welsh Ambulance Service also attended and transported one person to the hospital. Pembrokeshire council stated that most students have now left the premises, while police continue to guard the area.

In light of the situation, the council announced that any scheduled after-school activities have been cancelled for the evening. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the event
