A new allegation has emerged involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who is accused of engaging in a sexual encounter with a woman sent by Jeffrey Epstein to the UK. According to the woman’s lawyer, Brad Edwards of the US law firm Edwards Henderson, this incident took place in 2010 at the former prince’s residence, Royal Lodge. The woman, a non-British citizen in her twenties at the time, claims that after spending the night with Andrew, she was given a tour of Buckingham Palace and treated to tea.
Brad Edwards elaborated, saying, “We’re talking about at least one woman who was sent by Jeffrey Epstein over to Prince Andrew. And she even had, after a night with Prince Andrew, a tour of Buckingham Palace.” Attempts by BBC News to obtain a statement from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor regarding the allegations have so far been unsuccessful. While Buckingham Palace keeps records of tour guests, it has not been possible to confirm the woman’s visit without compromising her identity.
This latest accusation marks the first time a survivor connected to Epstein has alleged that a sexual encounter took place within a royal residence. Edwards, who represents more than 200 survivors of Epstein worldwide, also represented Virginia Giuffre. Giuffre had previously claimed she was brought to London as a minor to have sex with Andrew in 2001. She alleged further encounters took place in New York and on Epstein’s private island between 2001 and 2002.
The lawyer further revealed that there was some communication between his client and Andrew prior to the alleged encounter. Edwards also mentioned that he had contact with “certain legal counsel” connected to Andrew in the U.S., but that communication had broken off since King Charles formally removed the former prince’s royal style, titles, and honours in October last year. This action was taken in response to Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, and it was also announced that Andrew would vacate Royal Lodge, his residence since 2004. The Palace statement at the time confirmed the removal of titles despite Andrew’s continued denial of all allegations. Edwards asserted that these sanctions have enabled Andrew to claim poverty and avoid providing compensation, leaving victims uncompensated. Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace has expressed sympathy and support for all victims and survivors of abuse. Edwards is now considering pursuing a civil lawsuit on behalf of this new accuser against the former prince.
Virginia Giuffre herself had initiated a civil case against Andrew in 2021, which was settled the following year for an estimated £12 million. She tragically took her own life last year. Andrew has always denied the claims brought forward by Giuffre
