The Beckham family has appeared together publicly for the first time since Brooklyn Beckham’s Instagram post revealed tensions within the family. Last week, Brooklyn expressed in a statement that he had no intention of reconciling with his parents, accusing them of publicly attacking him and his wife.
On Monday, Sir David Beckham and Lady Victoria Beckham were accompanied by three of their children—Romeo, Cruz, and Harper—at the Haute Couture Fashion Week event in Paris. This appearance coincided with Lady Beckham receiving a distinguished recognition, being named a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture.
After accepting the award, Lady Beckham shared her gratitude on Instagram, saying, “I’m so honoured to be named a Chevalière de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture.” She went on to highlight her admiration for the French approach to fashion, describing it as a serious art form. She thanked the French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, as well as her business partners and husband David, who she called “my everything,” for their support throughout her career. This honour acknowledges significant contributions made by artists, writers, and cultural figures and has previously been awarded to well-known personalities such as Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez, Denis Villeneuve, and Jude Law.
Although this was the first joint appearance of the Beckham family following Brooklyn’s revelation, individual members have been seen publicly in recent days. Lady Beckham attended Emma Bunton’s 50th birthday party over the weekend, while Sir David participated in the World Economic Forum in Davos. Romeo was spotted at a show by US designer Willy Chavarria in Paris, and Cruz announced a small tour with his band in the UK and Europe. Brooklyn’s Instagram statement accused his parents of repeatedly attempting to sabotage his relationship with Nicola Peltz Beckham and criticized Victoria for overshadowing their first wedding dance. The Beckhams have yet to respond directly to the allegations, but Sir David commented generally on social media issues at Davos, saying children must be allowed to make mistakes
