A medical tribunal has been informed that Dr. Asif Munaf, a former participant on the television program The Apprentice, made numerous antisemitic, racist, and sexist posts on social media. Dr. Munaf, who hails from Sheffield, reportedly shared these highly offensive remarks on his X account multiple times between October 2023 and July 2025.
Dr. Munaf appeared on the 2024 season of The Apprentice but was removed from the spin-off show The Apprentice: You’re Fired! following accusations of posting antisemitic content online. Although the 37-year-old doctor has not attended the tribunal hearings and lacks legal representation, he previously denied that his social media posts were antisemitic.
The General Medical Council (GMC) provided details of the allegations against Dr. Munaf, whose full registered name is Mohammed Asif Munaf. According to the GMC, he shared numerous antisemitic statements, including Holocaust denial, conspiracy theories, and content that equated Jewish people with Nazism. Harriet Tighe, a lawyer representing the GMC, pointed out that one particular post displayed an image featuring a flag with the Star of David positioned above a swastika.
In addition to the antisemitic content, Dr. Munaf reposted a message using a racial slur directed at boxer Floyd Mayweather, and in a separate instance, expressed sexist opinions by suggesting certain jobs should be limited by gender and criticizing female empowerment. At an earlier hearing, Dr. Munaf described his posts as “not befitting of someone as educated as myself and were said in the heat of the emotion.” The GMC further alleges that in January 2024, Dr. Munaf abruptly left a locum placement as a cardiology specialist registrar at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust without notice or valid reason. There is also a separate claim that he issued a medical sick note to a patient in November 2024 while he was suspended from professional practice. The hearing conducted by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service is ongoing
