EasyJet: Belfast flight to Hurghada cancelled after police attend

EasyJet announced that a scheduled flight from Belfast to Egypt was cancelled on Saturday due to disruptive behavior by a group of passengers onboard. The airline stated that this situation required police presence before the plane could depart.

The specific flight, EZY3077, was originally set to leave Belfast International Airport at 12:55 GMT on Saturday en route to Hurghada. However, the departure was postponed and rearranged for 06:45 GMT on Sunday instead.

In response to the incident, EasyJet emphasized the seriousness with which it treats such matters, making it clear that disruptive conduct onboard will not be tolerated. The airline also explained that the delay caused the crew to exceed their allowable operating hours under safety regulations, necessitating the rescheduling of the flight for the next day.

EasyJet reassured customers that, despite the inconvenience, their safety and wellbeing remain the company’s top priorities. As a result of the delay, affected passengers are being provided with hotel accommodations and meals.
