Islington stabbing: Second man charged with murder

Authorities have charged a second individual with murder in connection to the stabbing death of a teenage boy in east London. The victim, 15-year-old Adam Henry, lost his life after being stabbed on December 9 in Islington, located in north London.

The newly charged suspect, 22-year-old Abdel Derdour, who has no fixed address, was formally charged in the early hours of Sunday. He is scheduled to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday. This development follows the earlier charging of Tsidi Winion, aged 20, from Handyside Street, Camden, who was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon on December 15.

In addition to Mr. Derdour, police detained four others during an operation on Friday at a residence in north-west London linked to the incident. Among those arrested was Daniel Williams, 39, from Shooters Hill, Camden, facing charges including fraud, theft, dangerous driving, and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent. Mr. Williams has been remanded in custody.

The remaining two men and one woman who were arrested alongside Mr. Derdour have since been released. Investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding Adam Henry’s tragic death
