A significant fire broke out at the Revolver Hotel located on Virginia Street in the centre of Glasgow. Fire crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) responded promptly after receiving reports of a “well-developed fire” on the building’s fourth floor. Fortunately, there have been no accounts of any injuries resulting from the incident.
The emergency response involved the deployment of eight fire engines to manage the situation. As the evening progressed, the intense flames were brought under control by around 8 pm. Despite the main fire being extinguished, firefighters remained on the scene, working from ladders to ensure that any remaining hotspots were fully dealt with.
The scene outside the hotel saw a gathering crowd, while smoke continued to billow from the building. Emergency vehicles with flashing lights were visible, marking the ongoing efforts to secure the structure and prevent the fire from reigniting.
