A 93-year-old man tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle in Rathfriland, County Down. The incident took place on Newry Road at approximately 10:45 PM GMT on Saturday.
The victim, Patrick Joseph Brady, also known as Patsy, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a resident of the Barnmeen area.
Authorities reported that the driver involved was operating a silver Toyota Avensis and did not appear to have suffered any serious harm.
Following the collision, the road was temporarily closed for several hours but has since been reopened to traffic
