Tragedy struck near Rotherham in South Yorkshire when a car collided with a tree, resulting in the deaths of two teenagers and leaving a man in critical condition. The victims included a 17-year-old girl who was driving and a 17-year-old boy, both of whom were pronounced dead at the scene. An 18-year-old male passenger sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized.

The incident occurred at approximately 02:40 GMT on Todwick Road, which runs between Dinnington and Todwick. The vehicle involved was a silver Toyota Corolla that had veered off the road before hitting the tree. Emergency services responded promptly, but unfortunately, two of the occupants did not survive the crash.

South Yorkshire Police have confirmed that they are providing support to the families affected by this heartbreaking event. Sergeant John Taylor commented on the investigation, stating, “We are working to ascertain the circumstances and are keen to speak to anyone who believes they can help.”
