The streets of London’s Pall Mall were lined with over 130 cars as the St James’s Motoring Spectacle made a grand return to the capital. This event, organized by the Royal Automobile Club in collaboration with Westminster City Council, marks the beginning of the much-anticipated London to Brighton Car Run that follows the next day.
The St James’s Spectacle was a display of a wide range of vehicles, from those tracing back to the early days of motoring to the most cutting-edge hypercars of today. A total of 75 pre-1905 vehicles were on show, and along with many others, they are set to participate in the journey to Brighton on Sunday.
In addition to the impressive lineup of cars, the event also paid homage to pedal power, showcasing a collection that included veteran bicycles, early motorcycles, and contemporary electric bikes. This diverse display highlighted the evolution of transportation over the years, from the traditional to the modern.
The RM Sotheby’s London to Brighton Veteran Car Run is scheduled to take place on Sunday 2 November, promising a continuation of the celebration of classic and vintage automobiles making their way through the scenic route to Brighton
