Agatha Christie’s renowned mysteries are taking on a new form by being adapted for children, in an unprecedented move for the crime novelist. The iconic detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple will be teaming up with Roger Hargreaves’s beloved Mr Men and Little Miss characters in illustrated books tailored for preschool and primary age children. The first two books, “Little Miss Marple: Muddle at the Vicarage” and “Mr Poirot: Mischief on the Nile,” will be released this Thursday, with two more to follow in February.

Meanwhile, in “Mr Poirot: Mischief on the Nile,” Poirot and Colonel Rush discover a mischievous mystery with the help of Mr Tickle and his extraordinary long arms.
Adam Hargreaves, the son of Mr Men creator Roger Hargreaves, has taken on the challenge of merging Agatha Christie’s classic mysteries with the playful world of the Mr Men and Little Miss characters. This innovative partnership is part of Agatha Christie Limited’s upcoming anniversary program, which will commemorate significant milestones in the author’s legacy, including 50 years since her passing, 100 years since the publication of “The Murder of Roger Ackroyd,” and 50 years since “Sleeping Murder” was released.
