Christopher Mills, who was assaulted by two masked men in his caravan in September 2024, is at the center of a trial in Swansea Crown Court where shocking details have emerged. His wife, Michelle Mills, along with her secret lover, Geraint Berry, and another military veteran, Steven Thomas, are accused of conspiring to murder Mr. Mills. However, Mrs. Mills maintains that the messages exchanged with Mr. Berry regarding her husband’s death were simply a form of escapism.
During the trial, Mrs. Mills claimed to the police that her husband was abusive and controlling, but asserted that the conversations with Mr. Berry about killing her husband were purely fantasy. Despite messages indicating otherwise, Mrs. Mills insisted that she never intended for any harm to come to Mr. Mills. The court heard about a text message from Mr. Berry suggesting violent actions against Mr. Mills, to which Mrs. Mills responded that she did not believe he would act on it and viewed the messages as a way to escape her home life.
The plot thickened when a fake suicide note was found in Mr. Berry’s possession following the caravan attack. Mrs. Mills disclosed to the police that Mr. Berry had discussed making things appear as a suicide. The fabricated letter contained false confessions of assault and rape from Mr. Mills to his wife, which he denied in court. Mrs. Mills denied any involvement with the letter, stating that she was asked by Mr. Berry to print a copy, believing it to be a part of an elaborate fantasy.
The trial further revealed that Mrs. Mills is also accused of perverting the course of justice by deleting messages and providing false information to the police. As the case unfolds in court, the intricate web of relationships and events surrounding the attack on Christopher Mills continues to captivate and shock those following the proceedings
