Liam Gallagher becomes a grandad for first time

Liam Gallagher has welcomed his first grandchild as his daughter Molly Moorish-Gallagher gave birth to a baby boy. The 27-year-old shared the news on Instagram, posting photos of her son, Rudy, along with a heartfelt message saying “we adore you”.

Gallagher has three other children, two sons from previous marriages to actress Patsy Kensit and singer Nicole Appleton, and another daughter from a relationship with US journalist Liza Ghorbani.

Moorish-Gallagher’s Instagram post also included pictures of a “hello baby” sign, her holding her son’s hand, and her footballer boyfriend Nathaniel Phillips cuddling with Rudy. Phillips, who started his career at Liverpool, currently plays for West Bromwich Albion.

Celebrities and fans flooded Moorish-Gallagher’s post with congratulatory messages, with model Daisy Lowe among those expressing their well wishes. The young mother first announced her pregnancy in May, sharing a photo with Phillips cradling her baby bump. Gallagher had previously admitted to not meeting his daughter for many years, citing a strained relationship with her mother. However, they reconciled in 2018 and were joined by Gallagher’s other children, Lennon and Gene, in a heartwarming photo.
