Police in north Wales have reported the discovery of a woman’s body in a river.
The incident occurred in Llangollen, Denbighshire, where the body was found in the River Dee early Saturday morning. Authorities were alerted to the situation at approximately 08:10 BST, prompting the response of emergency services, including the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s water rescue team.
Insp Andy Kirkham of North Wales Police stated that efforts were being made to identify the deceased woman. Although the cause of death remains unknown, authorities do not suspect foul play.
The discovery of the woman’s body caused some disruption in the town, particularly as a food festival was taking place. Local businesses and residents were thanked for their patience during the handling of the situation, with condolences extended to the family of the deceased
