Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, the guitarist and co-founder of Oasis, has announced that he will not be able to participate in the band’s upcoming tour due to a recent diagnosis of prostate cancer. Taking to Instagram to share the news with his followers, the 60-year-old musician expressed his disappointment at missing the shows but assured fans that he is feeling good and plans to return in time for the South America leg of the tour. This is not Arthurs’ first battle with cancer, as he previously overcame tonsil cancer in 2022. In his message, he urged fans to enjoy the shows in his absence and promised to be back on stage with the band in November.
Known for his contributions as the rhythm guitarist and keyboardist of the Manchester band, Arthurs has had a storied history with Oasis. He initially left the group in 1999 before reuniting with the Gallagher brothers for their recent comeback. Despite his health challenges, Arthurs remains dedicated to his craft and looks forward to rejoining his bandmates on tour later this year
