Since the fire, 28 students have been attending classes in Jameston Village Hall, a temporary solution criticized for its inadequacy by parents like Becky and Charlotte. These parents, who have children attending the school, feel let down by the council’s lack of support and failure to prioritize rebuilding. The council cites falling demographics and high capital costs as reasons for considering closure, with an estimated cost of approximately £2.6 million to reconstruct the school.
Conservative Senedd member, Sam Kurtz, accused the council of neglecting its responsibilities and criticized their justification for considering closure.
