A tragic incident occurred in County Down last Monday, resulting in the death of a second man from a two-vehicle crash. The collision involved a silver VW Bora and a grey Toyota Avensis on the Ballydugan Road in Downpatrick on 15 September. The victim, identified as Caoimhin Teggart, aged 28 and hailing from the Kilkeel area, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on Monday night.
Sadly, Caoimhin Teggart’s death followed that of another individual from the same crash. Ryan Cunningham, 21 years old, passed away from his injuries in the hospital the day after the collision. The tragic event not only claimed the lives of these two young men but also left two women who were in the Toyota car in need of hospital treatment as well.
The authorities have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is currently underway. Details surrounding the circumstances of the crash are still being examined by the police. The community mourns the loss of these individuals and hopes for a thorough investigation that sheds light on the events leading up to the tragic collision
