Despite apologies from both Borussia Dortmund and Ironman, Ms. Yendle refused Borussia Dortmund’s offer of free tickets as an apology, stating, “no thank you, you can keep your football tickets.”
Originating from Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Ms. Yendle was first alerted to the video by a friend, leading to online criticism and subsequent deletion. Borussia Dortmund’s post had garnered 765,000 views before its removal from their TikTok account with 17.3 million followers. Expressing a deep sense of humiliation due to the public mockery of her speech, Ms. Yendle highlighted her years of raising awareness and the misunderstanding she has faced throughout her life.
