Zaytoun Palestinian Medjoul Dates

Medjoul dates are often referred to as the ‘king of dates’ and for good reason. These succulent and sweet fruits are grown in Palestine by farmers working with Zaytoun, a Community Interest Company (CIC) set up in 2004 to create a market for Palestinian goods.

At a time when the olive tree, another important crop in Palestine, is under threat from economic instability and political conflict, Zaytoun has provided an alternative income source for hundreds of farming families. Fairtrade Fortnight provides the perfect opportunity to support these farmers by experiencing the rich, caramel taste of their Medjoul dates.
