Stapleton, a staple in factual programming, graced screens on shows like Watchdog and GMTV’s News Hour, kickstarting his career at the Oldham Chronicle. Former Good Morning Britain host Charlotte Hawkins fondly remembered him as a “brilliant broadcaster” and an “incredibly kind man.”
