Donald Trump’s second visit to the UK has been filled with grandeur and diplomatic meetings. The US President and his wife Melania first spent time with King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle, followed by a lavish banquet. On the agenda for Thursday is a trip to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s country estate, Chequers, in Buckinghamshire. While Trump meets with Sir Keir, Melania will continue her tour of Windsor Castle.

The day will begin with Trump bidding farewell to the King and heading to Chequers, where he will be greeted by Sir Keir and Lady Starmer, along with a guard of honour. The President and Prime Minister will view the Sir Winston Churchill archives and hold a private meeting. Subsequently, a business reception with Chancellor Rachel Reeves is scheduled, followed by a joint news conference.

Melania will continue her visit at Windsor Castle, touring the Royal Library and the famous miniature palace, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House. She will also meet with Chief Scout Dwayne Fields and Catherine, who are jointly involved with the Scout Association. Afterwards, Melania will rejoin her husband at Chequers before they depart for the US on Air Force One.

During Trump’s visit, the UK government announced securing £150bn worth of US investments aimed at creating 7,600 jobs.
