US President Donald Trump is set to embark on his second state visit to the UK, where he will visit the tomb of the late Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle. A traditional banquet will be held in his honor at Windsor.
President Trump’s visit will also include talks with Sir Keir Starmer at the prime minister’s country residence in Buckinghamshire. The agenda includes a royal salute in Windsor and at the Tower of London, as well as a flypast by UK and US F-35 military jets and the Red Arrows. A state lunch, a private visit to Queen Elizabeth’s tomb, and a tour of St George’s Chapel are also on the itinerary.
On the second day of the visit, Trump will be greeted by a guard of honor at RAF Halton before meeting with the Prime Minister at Chequers. Melania Trump will accompany the Queen on a tour of Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Royal Library at Windsor Castle, as well as attending events with the Princess of Wales. Despite the planned demonstrations and boycotts, the visit marks another instance where international leaders have visited King Charles since he succeeded Queen Elizabeth
