Ada Cook celebrated her 105th birthday with a festive Cockney-themed party, reflecting on memories from her youth. The remarkable woman, a resident at Alexandra House Care Home in Harlow, was originally from London but relocated to Essex during the tumultuous times of World War Two. The birthday celebration was attended by friends, family, and fellow residents at the care home, complete with a live singer and nostalgic photographs on display.

Her son, Paul, expressed deep gratitude towards the care home for organizing such a special birthday celebration for his mother. Ada Cook received a congratulatory card from King Charles III, a proud moment for her. The care home shared that she had moved to Epping in Essex during the war and had worked at the Waltham Abbey gunpowder mills, where she was involved in making bombs.
