Elias Morgan, a convicted armed robber, has been sentenced to a minimum of 45 years in prison for the murder of Lenny Scott, a father-of-three, in an act of retaliation. The incident took place outside a gym in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, on 8 February 2024. Investigators discovered that Morgan had a sexual relationship with a female officer named Sarah Williams after a phone was found in March 2020 at HMP Altcourse in Liverpool.
Described as a “cold-blooded executioner,” Morgan was said to have carried out an assassination on Mr. Scott. Detective Chief Inspector Lee Wilson praised Mr. Scott as a man of integrity and bravery who paid the ultimate price by doing what was right. The judge, Mr. Justice Goose, highlighted that Mr. Scott was loved, respected, and had his whole life ahead of him.
